Cameron Brink Slays in Pregame Fit for Sparks-Sun

Cameron Brink’s fierce gameday look.

All eyes were on Cameron Brink Thursday night, not just for her return to action with the Los Angeles Sparks, but for the way she owned the pregame tunnel in pure style before facing the Connecticut Sun at Crypto.com Arena.

Brink, who recently returned from a 13-month recovery following an ACL tear, turned heads with a striking outfit before tip-off.

The 6-foot-4 forward walked into the arena wearing a long, beige trench coat over a sleek black crop top and high-waisted black leggings. She completed the look with black heels, a matching handbag slung over her shoulder and a pair of sunglasses perched atop her head.

Cameron Brink’s Return

Brink tore her ACL on June 18, 2024, ironically, in a game against the same Connecticut Sun she faced Thursday night. Since returning to the lineup on July 29, the Sparks have gone 2-1 with Brink back in action, and her influence has already been felt on both ends of the court.

Brink has averaged 4.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 3.0 blocks in her first three games back. Against the Seattle Storm, she came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring seven points and adding two steals and three blocks in just under 12 minutes of play.

Though she’s still working on getting her full rhythm back, her defensive presence has remained sharp.

In her own words, Brink admitted the return has come with mixed feelings. Speaking on her podcast “Straight to Cam,” she said, “The basketball player in me… I wish I was more aggressive. Should’ve handled that ball screen better.” Despite the self-criticism, Brink also expressed her joy: “I’m back on the court... I feel good.”

Off the court, though, she’s less enthused about the spotlight that follows her every move.

“Even doing activation on the baseline… there’s just reporters, people with cameras in your face everywhere,” she shared. “I didn’t miss that aspect of it very much.”

Sparks Celebrate “Dodgers Night”

The Sparks’ matchup against the Sun wasn’t just about basketball. The team hosted “Dodgers Night,” celebrating their shared ownership group with Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers.

The first 5,000 fans in attendance received a co-branded Sparks x Dodgers hat, and mascots from both franchises entertained the crowd throughout the game.

It was a fitting night to highlight Brink, who was drafted second overall in 2024 and seen as a face of the future for the Sparks.

Brink’s journey hasn’t been easy. The Sparks exercised patience, only giving her the green light after 13 months of rehab, setbacks and speculation. Now back in the fold, her on-court stats are climbing, and her off-court presence is as bold as ever.
