NEW ORLEANS, La. (WGNO) – Tulane held its first scrimmage, premiering three of the four quarterbacks getting a bulk of the load.

Head coach Jon Sumrall is impressed with the growth of Jake Retzlaff, Brendan Sullivan and Kadin Semonza. Sumrall emphasized how he’s impressed with each quarterback extending plays on the ground and confirming that the competition is still wide open.

Sumrall also spoke on the depth on the defensive line and their potential to really cause disruption in the season, while defensive lineman Tre’Von McAlpine says their growth is a result of the offense they’re facing.
