Everything is finalized for the Malian international to join the Saudi Pro League.
Abdoulaye Doucouré
Abdoulaye Doucouré will now be playing for the Saudi club Neom SC in Saudi Arabia. This transfer marks a new chapter in the career of the 32-year-old midfielder.
Out of contract with Everton, where he spent five seasons in the Premier League, Abdoulaye Doucouré is set to experience a completely new environment far from Europe. After several weeks of negotiations, the midfielder has chosen to continue his career in the Middle East. The 32-year-old is even reported to have already signed a two-year contract with Neom SC in Saudi Arabia.
Neom SC is a club on the rise, backed by an ambitious project. In recent months, Neom SC has been ramping up signings from Europe, notably bringing in Alexandre Lacazette (formerly of Lyon). The team will be managed by former PSG head coach Christophe Galtier. The signing of Abdoulaye Doucouré fits perfectly into their strategy to build a competitive squad blending European experience with emerging international talents. Known for his power, ability to break forward, and high work rate, he will bring invaluable top-level experience after more than 250 matches in England with Watford and Everton.
