Things don't seem to be getting much better for Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams
Rams get another bad injury update on QB Matthew Stafford originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Los Angeles Rams were picked by many to come out of the NFC and get to their third Super Bowl of the Sean McVay era, and the second with quarterback Matthew Stafford. They came within plays of getting to the NFC Championship last season, and would have been the likely favorites to defeat the Washington Commanders should they have made it that far.
While the Rams have gotten better this offseason, most notably adding future Hall of Fame wide receiver Davante Adams, the health of Stafford being so up in the air has a lot of people worried. The latest update won't help with that.
According to Adam Groshbard of the LA Daily News, Stafford was in street clothes for practice on Monday, which was when he was supposed to return to practice.
The longer Stafford goes without practicing, the more fans will get concerned, and the more likely it becomes that he will start of clunky in the regular season. This has become one of the more monitored injuries around the NFL, and with good reason. A 37-year-old with a lingering back injury that continues to drag on could completely up-end the Rams' Super Bowl hopes.
