The most prominent former Bulldog, Phil Maton, is currently pitching in the big leagues for the Texas Rangers. After signing with the St. Louis Cardinals this past offseason, Maton was dealt to the Rangers at the trade deadline. Now in his ninth MLB season, he continues to make an impact on the mound. Let’s take a look at his 2025 stats:

– 44 appearances, 1-3, 42.1 IP, 2.34 ERA, 11 ER, 30 hits allowed, 16 BB, 51 K

Ruston native Cade Gibson was recently optioned back to Triple-A by the Marlins, but he’s put together a solid rookie campaign at the major league level. Let’s take a closer look at his 2025 numbers:
