Miami Dolphins' All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill continues to draw interest from multiple teams around the league, but are the Dolphins willing to trade him?
Dolphins’ All-Pro Sparks Trade Interest From Across NFL originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Miami Dolphins completed the biggest trade of the offseason in early June when they sent star cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers for All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. However, the Dolphins may not be done making moves as we approach the regular season.
On Sunday morning, ESPN's NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler joined SportsCenter and revealed that Dolphins' All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill remains a target for some NFL teams across the league.
"I have talked to a few teams who are at least monitoring his future a little bit. Could he be a potential trade target?" Fowler said (h/t Bleacher Report). "Now, I know the Dolphins earlier this summer were telling teams, 'No, we're not trading Tyreek Hill.' But they just wonder, is he going to be available? It could be wishful thinking; maybe they want him to be available.
"But he's a player when I bring up to teams, 'Hey, who is sort of a trade target you're watching?' they bring up Tyreek Hill. So, we'll see. He's a big option for Tua, that would be a major move if they did move away from him."
Hill and the Dolphins haven't had the smoothest offseason, and that's continued throughout training camp. It seems the receiver has worked hard in camp to rebuild relationships in Miami that had been crippled last season, but it is still a work in progress.
To add to the uncertainty, Hill has recently suffered an oblique injury. The Dolphins' receiver missed a day of practice last week, and the extent of the injury is unknown. However, head coach Mike McDaniel said it shouldn't be an issue, and the team is just trying to protect Hill from overworking himself.

This explains why he’s been absent from practice for a couple days.
The oblique muscles are responsible for rotation of your trunk, and are relatively common in injuries in the NFL.

Regardless, the relationship between Hill and the Dolphins is not the greatest, but that doesn't necessarily mean the Dolphins want to trade the All-Pro receiver. In April, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier mentioned that the team was not considering a trade. However, if another team offered multiple first-round picks, the Dolphins would consider, according to Tom Pelissero.
That seems like a fantasy price at this point, with Hill's current injury situation and the fact that he was already rehabbing from a lingering wrist issue that held him back in 2024.
As the Dolphins look toward 2025, fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle has had an outstanding offseason and figures to step up beside Hill in a big way in 2025, but the Dolphins would surely love a healthy, All-Pro tier Hill alongside Waddle.
Whether it's wishful thinking or the Dolphins are listening to offers, Fowler reported there's no timeline on when a deal could be made, that is, if the Dolphins decide to pull the trigger on a Hill trade.
