Count Caitlin Clark among the many people who will tune in to watch Taylor Swift‘s guest appearance on the New Heights podcast on Wednesday. The podcast, hosted by Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, made the announcement Monday evening.
Clark was one of thousands of comments underneath the post on Instagram. The Indiana Fever star, who has made it known she is a diehard Swiftie, couldn’t contain her excitement.
“AHHHHHHH!!!!!! LFGGGGGG,” Clark wrote.
Clark and Swift have developed a friendship over the past year. Clark attended back-to-back Eras Tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium in November, where she met Swift’s mother and Travis Kelce. Swift gave Clark four bags of Ears Tour merchandise that also included a note that said “Trav and I” were excited to get to see her at a Fever game.
Later in January, Swift and Clark were seen sitting next to each other at a suite during a Divisional Round NFL playoff game between the Chiefs and Texans. Clark is also a noted Chiefs fan, having grown up three hours from Kansas City in Des Moines, Iowa.
In fact, Caitlin Clark was the first of the two between her and Taylor Swift to make an appearance on the New Heights podcast. She joined the show in January and opened up on her Chiefs fandom as well as many other topics.
“I had family in Kansas City, and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours from Kansas City,” Clark said during that appearance. “That’s just the closest NFL team. My dad was a big Chiefs fan growing up. People think I’m a bandwagon Chiefs fan. I’m like, No, I was there before Patrick and Travis. We were ride or die. We’ve been big fans, and now, obviously, all the success you guys had has made it a lot of fun for us.”
That in mind, there might not be a more perfect podcast for Clark to watch considering she is a fan of both Swift and Kelce’s. It’s safe to say plenty of other people will be in the same boat, with millions of views anticipated.
The new episode is set to drop Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. It’s not clear whether Clark will be among the many people waiting to watch it immediately, but it is worth nothing the Fever have that day off.
