Is Caitlin Clark playing?
Caitlin Clark's Status on WNBA Website Causes a Stir originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Caitlin Clark has been missing from the Indiana Fever for quite some time.
Clark has dealt with several injuries during her second season in the WNBA, having played 13 games under Stephanie White.
While the Fever have found success with Clark out, winning six of their last eight games, Indiana's young star may be the missing piece for a real playoff push.
In order to compete for a championship, Clark will need to be available for the Fever, playing alongside several other stars, like Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham and Aliyah Boston.
While she's missed ample time, Clark's injury status for the Fever's upcoming matchup against the Dallas Wings caused quite a stir online.
Caitlin Clark's Injury Status
Clark is listed as a game-time decision for Indiana on the official website of the WNBA.

The last time Caitlin Clark was available for the Indiana Fever was July 15, when they played the Connecticut Sun. Since then, Clark has missed much of the second half of the WNBA season.
That's why the status came as a surprise to many, with some believing the post, and others confused by the development.
"If she plays its going to be like 12 minutes, which is plenty enough for me," a commenter wrote. A fan added, "Ooooh this was my guess on her return."
"Trying to keep people in the stands and watching. Even if they let her play 5 minutes seats will be filled and millions will watch," a follower remarked, trying to make sense why Clark's status appears to be upgraded.
A realistic supporter, however, shared: "Not to be a wet blanket but let's pump the breaks. On Aug 3 we learned CC had been running full court for a wk, pre Holly/Steph. Best case first 5V5 was just a few days ago (Likely not on the road). I still think we are looking at towards the end of Aug."
"The espn app which had that game as the est return date now lists her as OUT," a poster noted.
It should be noted that the WNBA pulls its injury data from RotoWire. Unfortunately, RotoWire has only three status updates: Out, Out for Season and Game-Time Decision. That being said, it's unlikely that "Game-Time Decision" is Clark's true status since there's no official update from the Fever and the team is considering the All-Star guard as day-to-day.
It is also worth noting that there has been no reports about Clark potentially becoming available for the game against the Wings. An official update from Indiana should be available on Monday.
Clark's 2025 Season
Throughout her second season in the WNBA, Clark has posted 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. In her last game, where the Fever defeated the Sun, Clark had 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Indiana will face the Dallas Wings on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET. As for Clark's availability for the game, fans shouldn't raise their hopes up on her return.
