🚨 BREAKING: Leeds 'reach agreement' to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Leeds United have reached an agreement in principle to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer following the striker’s departure from Everton, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

The 28-year-old is expected to undergo a medical at the club’s Thorp Arch training ground imminently, with a view to finalising the move.

Calvert-Lewin has been without a club since confirming in June that he would leave Everton at the end of his contract.

He spent nine years at Goodison Park, scoring 71 goals in 274 appearances. His spell on Merseyside was marked by both standout performances and persistent injury setbacks.

Everton had tabled a new contract offer last summer, but negotiations failed to produce an agreement.

His switch to Elland Road would represent Leeds’ eighth signing of the summer, as Daniel Farke’s side prepare for their return to the Premier League.

The West Yorkshire club have already bolstered their attack with the addition of Lukas Nmecha from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. Calvert-Lewin’s arrival would add further depth and top-flight experience to their forward options.

Capped 11 times by England and with four international goals to his name, Calvert-Lewin last featured for the national team in 2021.
