Report – Fulham Lead Leeds In Race For Inter Milan Flop But Face One Difficulty

Fulham have reportedly moved ahead of Leeds United in the race to sign Inter Milan outcast Mehdi Taremi.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Cottagers are the front-runners to land the veteran striker.

Mehdi Taremi has fallen out of favor at San Siro.

Indeed, new boss Cristian Chivu has put him up for sale following an unenviable first season in Serie A.

However, the Italian giants have yet to receive tangible offers for the 33-year-old.

After Besiktas’ failed attempt to lure Taremi to Turkey, the former Porto striker could secure a move to the Premier League.

Indeed, Fulham have taken a concrete interest in his services and have already contacted his entourage to discuss a deal.

However, the Cottagers need the player to do them a favor and take a pay cut in order to facilitate a move to London.

Taremi’s €3 million net per season salary remains the only stumbling block.

Yet, with the Iranian star keen to continue his career in England, an agreement seems well within reach.
