Shedeur Sanders' NFL journey may soon begin with the Cleveland Browns.
Sanders was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the draft and has since been working with one of the deepest quarterback rooms in the league.
Cleveland has yet to name their starter, currently choosing from the following players in the quarterback room: Sanders, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Tyler Huntley.
Deshaun Watson is also rostered, but he is rehabbing from an injury and will not be available for Week 1 of the NFL season.
Ahead of the season, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was tasked with naming the starting quarterback.
While Stefanski has yet to do so, he recently mentioned that he will decide when to announce the starting quarterback after the Browns play the Philadelphia Eagles in the second preseason game on Saturday.
"Browns Kevin Stefanski said he’s thinking about when to name his Week 1 starter, and will decide after this Philly trip when to announce it," Browns reporter Mary Kay Cabot said.

Shedeur Sanders started for the Cleveland Browns in their first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Sanders posted two touchdowns on 138 yards with a 60.9 completion percentage in the Browns' 30-10 victory.
Huntley also played quarterback for the Browns against Carolina.
In his final season of college football, playing under his father and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders posted 37 touchdowns and 4,134 yards while completing 74.0% of his pass attempts.
