Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein conduct 2025 offseason workout together.
It's August, which means the NBA is in its driest part of the calendar. The offseason is over. Teams are on vacation. The next two months will see little action as the 2025-26 regular season starts in two months.
Which means this is the perfect time for players to hit the gym and develop. The offseason is when you see players make their biggest strides. Being able to relax at home and avoid dealing with a hectic travel and play schedule gives them ample opportunity to work on what they need to the most.
Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein were recently together to do that. The double-big lineup helped the Oklahoma City Thunder win their first NBA championship. They started most of the playoff run. Now, they hope their second year together will provide similar results, albeit with better health.
Holmgren and Hartenstein conducted an offseason workout together on Wednesday, Aug. 13. Holmgren posted a photo of their shared session on social media.
It's good to see Holmgren and Hartenstein continue to gain chemistry. The Thunder will likely lean on those two centers to headline their frontcourt. They helped them have one of the greatest defenses ever with a shutdown paint defense.
The Thunder will enter the 2025-26 season as a favorite to repeat as NBA champions. They're running it back with basically the same roster. That type of continuity should help them be a popular pick to keep the Larry O'Brien trophy.
