Atalanta must replace Retegui and resolve the Lookman issue, while Juve are evaluating Vlahovic's position and awaiting Kolo Muani.
Atalanta: Between Muniz and Lookman
Atalanta appears to have chosen a replacement for Mateo Retegui: the 2024/25 Serie A top scorer has been sold to Al-Qadsiah. The club's closest rival is Rodrigo Muniz, the Brazilian striker from Fulham , for whom Atalanta has already offered €40 million (€35 million base and €5 million in bonuses), while the English club is asking €45 million.
Then there's the issue of Lookman, who is now "separated at home" with Atalanta and isn't even in Italy: he's currently in London (according to La Gazzetta dello Sport) training alone, waiting for Inter to increase their offer. According to Matteo Moretto, however, Inter aren't interested in increasing their €45 million offer, including bonuses.
Juve: Kolo Muani's wait and the Vlahovic-Nico Gonzalez question
Juventus' attacking target is Kolo Muani: the player has made his return to Italy a top priority and has reportedly turned down several Premier League clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The deal, however, is expensive, and some sales could help Juventus : especially those of Vlahovic and Nico Gonzalez. The Serbian striker earns €12 million net, and the acquisition of J. David could significantly reduce his playing time. Atletico Madrid and several English clubs are reportedly interested in Nico Gonzalez, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
