The Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines rivalry is well-documented as one of the biggest rivalries in all of college football.

According to Winsipedia, Michigan leads the all-time series with a 62-52-6 record, which includes wins in each of the last four games.

In the most recent matchup, Michigan stunned Ohio State in Columbus with a 13-10 win. This one featured an all-out brawl at midfield after the game, when Michigan players symbolically planted their flag in the field, forcing police to use pepper spray to settle the chaos.

With the season approaching, the Ohio State-Michigan game will once again be full of drama, as it always is.

Former NFL legend and Michigan alum Tom Brady had a message ahead of this year's edition of "The Game" during an episode of "The Joel Klatt Show."

"Go Michigan, beat Ohio State," Brady said at the conclusion of the show.

Brady played college football at Michigan for four years, including being the starting quarterback for the final two years, before being selected by the New England Patriots and going on to have an all-time great NFL career.

So, it is not surprising to see Brady rooting for his alma mater.

The 2024 showdown was surprising, especially because Ohio State was one of the best teams all year and would later go on to win the College Football Playoff national title.

After the Buckeyes' loss, Brady even questioned the approach by Ohio State during an episode of "The Herd" last December.

"I may as well been out there playing receiver for Ohio State. I can't run, I couldn't catch but it doesn't matter if you don't throw me the ball just like they didn't throw a lot of their best players the ball in the second half," Brady said.

To Brady's point, Ohio State star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith was targeted just twice after halftime, and Emeka Egbuka, who is now in the NFL, had just four targets after halftime as well in a weird offensive showing.

Brady also added more on the way Ohio State played in that game.

"You've got to have some formula for what you're trying to accomplish," Brady said. "What's the bull's-eye that we need to hit? We need to get the coaches to deliver that to the players in all three phases of the game for them to go out there so that they have something to hit. If they do that and you identify it clearly, I think you give your team a great chance to win."

Entering this season, Ohio State is commonly viewed as a top-five team, and Michigan has also landed in the preseason top 25 rankings, so it could be a massive showdown with a lot on the line.

This year's version of "The Game" is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, in Ann Arbor in the regular season finale for both teams.
