The Indiana Fever have added another guard amid their injury crisis.

Not long after signing Odyssey Sims, the Fever have also signed Kyra Lambert.

Lambert has never played in the WNBA, but she was signed on Thursday to a seven-day contract. The Fever have the open roster spot following season-ending injuries to Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald.

Indiana remains without Caitlin Clark due to a nagging groin injury, as well.

Lambert played collegiately at Duke and Texas, but she never got a chance in the W.

Instead, the talented guard went to Europe.

Lambert most recently suited up for Olympiacos in Greece, and they were league champions together.

In the championship season, Lambert averaged 15.4 points and 6.3 assists per game en route to being named the Eurocup's Guard of the Year.

Lambert also knocked down 42.1% of her 3-pointers in that strong season, a number that bodes extremely well for her chances of contributing in Indiana.

She has also played in France, with Toulouse, in Latvia, with TTT Riga, in New Zealand, with Whai, in Slovakia, with Slavia Banska Bystrica, and in Turkey, with Karsiyaka.

It feels a bit like a well-earned reward for a lifetime of basketball travel to finally get to come and play in the WNBA.

Lambert grew up in Cibolo, Texas. She was born in Guam.

Now, she's in Indiana. The Fever next play at home on Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the Washington Mystics, and Lambert will be on the court for the first time in the WNBA.
