Davante Adams has no plans on slowing down just yet. The Los Angeles Rams receiver, who’s playing for his fourth NFL franchise in five seasons, is focused on business as usual.

However, there will come a time when the 32-year-old, three-time first-team Associated Press All-Pro wideout calls it quits.

“The moment that I cannot go out there and decide when I’m gonna impose my will on somebody, I won’t be playing anymore,” Adams said last week on “The Pivot Podcast.” “My pride, I’ve got too much of it to get out there and just have somebody putting their hands on me. … If that’s what’s happening to me, then just tell me ‘Hey, Te.’ Go and tap my shoulder and get (me) up out of there.”

Adams began last season with the Las Vegas Raiders, but requested a trade by October. He was eventually shipped to the New York Jets, reuniting with Aaron Rodgers. The partnership yielded a 3-8 record and missed out on the postseason.

Adams signed a two-year, $46 million deal with Sean McVay’s crew in March, allowing it to cut ties with former Triple Crown winner Cooper Kupp. Adams will help keep defenses from hounding Puka Nacua, who totaled 990 receiving yards in 11 games a campaign ago.

Lost in the turmoil of that campaign is that Adams posted his fifth 1,000-yard season in a row. McVay hopes to use Adams’ route-running ability to his team’s favor. Adams hopes to keep his career rolling back home on the West Coast.
