Team News

Wrexham

Wrexham are set to hand home league debuts to several new signings, with Lewis O’Brien, Conor Coady, and Josh Windass all included in the squad.

The Welsh side beat Premier League competition to land O’Brien from Nottingham Forest in a £5m deal, showing their Championship ambition.

However, striker Kieffer Moore suffered an ankle ligament injury on his debut against Southampton and faces a spell on the sidelines. Paul Mullin remains on loan at Wigan Athletic, while Steven Fletcher and Jordan Davies have been released. Ryan Hardie provides a new attacking option.

West Bromwich Albion

Ryan Mason has taken charge as West Brom head coach following his June appointment. The 33-year-old has strengthened the squad with the signing of Nat Phillips from Liverpool and Norwegian striker Aune Heggebø from SK Brann.

Striker Daryl Dike is ruled out until early September with a thigh injury, while veteran Kyle Bartley has retired due to a knee problem. George Campbell has joined from CF Montreal, but the departure of Grady Diangana and John Swift leave gaps to fill.

Ryan Mason has inherited a squad that finished ninth last season, four points outside the play-offs. The Baggies started positively with a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers, courtesy of Isaac Price’s goal. However, West Brom also went to penalties in midweek and exited the Carabao Cup to Derby County after a shootout.
