Bucks Forward Shuts Down Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Rumors originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Before the start of the NBA free agency, there were already trade rumors regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo. After the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs for the third time, Antetokounmpo's future with the franchise was put into question.
The talks started to pick up momentum when the Bucks released All-Star guard Damian Lillard. Although the move to release Antetokounmpo's co-star led to the star forward getting upset, no trade request was lodged. Rather, the Greek Freak had multiple instances where he expressed his loyalty to the franchise.
However, that hasn't stopped the trade rumors.
Bobby Portis Says Giannis Antetokounmpo Will Stay in Milwaukee
On Tuesday, Bucks forward Bobby Portis addressed the talks about Antetokounmpo's future. He said that the nine-time All-Star isn't going anywhere and that he "bleeds green."
"I talk to Giannis (Antetokounmpo) all the time. That's my teammate," Portis said. "I think Giannis bleeds green that's all I can say."

This isn't the first time that Portis talked about Antetokounmpo staying in Milwaukee. When he appeared as a guest on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back," the big man said that he believes the Greek Freak will stay put.
"I think he's staying put with the Bucks," Portis said. "That's just my personal opinion."
The Greek star has stayed with the Bucks through thick and thin. He's been a star and a champion with the franchise. Based on that, it's easy to assume that he'll stay.
But the lack of success that Milwaukee has experienced could lead him to start thinking twice about his loyalty.
