The Dallas Cowboys have two top-tier receivers in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, and Dak Prescott will be looking to get them the ball throughout the 2025 NFL season. But Prescott won't be the only one tempted to feed them targets—head coach Brian Schottenheimer will likely feel the same way.

On Friday, Schottenheimer joined the DLLS Cowboys Podcast, and he admitted that there will be times when he'll have to fight the urge to get the ball to either Pickens or Lamb.

"I can't wait," Schottenheimer said. "And that doesn't mean we're not going to be physical. But again, I get excited. I lay in bed the night and I'm like, 'We got some dudes out there. Those guys know how to ball.'"

Last season, Lamb recorded his fourth straight season of surpassing the 1,000-yard mark while recording six touchdowns for Dallas. Nonetheless, with a healthy Prescott and now a running mate like Pickens, Lamb could make it five straight seasons while boosting his touchdown total from 2024.

Meanwhile, Pickens will look to tap into his potential with the Cowboys. The 24-year-old has hit over 1,000 receiving yards once in his three-year NFL career, which came in 2023 when he recorded five touchdowns.

This week, Schottenheimer revealed that Pickens is excited for the change of scenery and wants to become the receiver that he was in 2023 for Dallas.

"I think from the time that we got George, and we went into my office together and shot some free throws, talked and got to know each other, he made that [that he wants to be coached] very clear," Brian Schottenheimer said on Tuesday (h/t CBS Sports).

"He's like, 'Coach, I'm thrilled to be here, No. 1. I want to be coached. I want to be great. I want to be a great player. I want to continue to be great. So, lean into me. Be tough on me. Tell me the things I need to do.'"

If that's the mindset that Pickens has, then it's a good sign for Dallas that they might be able to tap into the potential that the player has. Furthermore, the Cowboys could have a scenario where they have two No. 1 receivers.
