Nolan McLean is set to make his major league debut on Saturday in place of struggling veteran Frankie Montas in the starting rotation, per Anthony DiComo's report.
The No. 3 Mets prospect and No. 37 overall prospect has thrown 226 2/3 innings in the minor leagues since the start of 2023. During that time, the right-hander has a 3.10 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP with 245 strikeouts and 18 homers allowed.
Montas, in his 10th major league season, has a 3-2 record and a 6.38 ERA in 36 2/3 innings.

Pete Alonso became the franchise's all-time leader with 254 career home runs. His two homers in Tuesday's win broke a tie with Darryl Strawberry (252).
