When you win the Super Bowl, you get to make history.

Nearly a decade after helping the Philadelphia Eagles win their first Super Bowl, former Pro Bowl defensive back Malcolm Jenkins is Hall of Fame-bound — albeit in Philadelphia rather than Canton.
The Eagles announced on Wednesday that Jenkins and legendary offensive lineman Bucko Kilroy will enter the Eagles’ Hall of Fame later this year. Both will be honored during a Nov. 28 game against the Chicago Bears.
Jenkins’ induction is a historic one, as he’ll become the first player to enter the Eagles Hall of Fame after winning a Super Bowl in Philadelphia. He served as a captain on the 2017 team that defeated the New England Patriots in a thrilling Super Bowl 52 showdown in Minnesota.
“It’s confirmation that what I did meant something and had [an] impact beyond what I did on the field,” said Jenkins, who attended Wednesday’s practice as a photographer before learning about his upcoming induction.
“It was about the people that I interacted with and how those people then changed,” he added. “It’s a great testament not only to me, but to everybody that I had a chance to interact with.”
Malcolm Jenkins had an incredible impact on the Eagles
Jenkins made two Pro Bowls during his six years in Philadelphia and helped the team earn three straight playoff berths from 2017-19. An iron man who played 99% of the Eagles’ defensive snaps in five of those six seasons, Jenkins’ four interceptions returned for touchdowns trail only Eric Allen’s five in franchise history.
“Malcolm was a tenacious player who was beloved by his teammates and coaches for the thoughtful leadership and veteran presence he provided,” owner Jeffrey Lurie said.
We imagine that Jenkins won’t be the last member of the 2017 team inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame. Offensive linemen Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, and pass-rusher Brandon Graham feel like locks, and we fully expect left tackle Jason Peters and quarterback Nick Foles to eventually earn a spot, too.
