Tottenham Hotspur have tabled their opening bid for Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze, according to The Sun.
The offer is believed to be around £60 million as Spurs face a critical need for added creativity and attacking potency after Heung-min Son’s summer exit and James Maddison’s recent injury,
Eze joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 and has flourished at Selhurst Park.
Over the past five years, he has racked up 34 goals and 23 assists in 146 Premier League appearances and also delivered Palace’s first-ever major trophy with the winning goal in the 2025 FA Cup final.
Despite the recent speculation surronding his future, Eze started for his side in their recent Premier League opening match against Chelsea and even had the ball in the back of the net from a direct free kick which was however ruled out by the VAR.
Speaking after the game, Palace manager Oliver Glasner acknowledged the ongoing negotiations with Spurs.
However, he expects Eze to continue playing for Palace until a move is completed and is confident the player remains commited to the team.
Eze’s £68 million release clause recently expired but Tottenham are confident of agreeing a deal as talks continue with Palace.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are already stepping up their search for a potential replacement should Eze leave.
Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss is a leading target, although contact has also been made for Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis.
Palace are next in action on Thursday when they welcome Norwegian outfit Fredrikstad to Selhurst Park in the Conference League playoffs.
