Fever Star Sophie Cunningham Reveals Special Invite From Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce

It seems that Sophie Cunningham will need to turn it down, though.

Fever Star Sophie Cunningham Reveals Special Invite From Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

In the latest episode of Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham’s “Show Me Something” podcast, the 28-year-old revealed how big a Kansas City Chiefs fan she is. Having been born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, and having attended the University of Missouri for college, Cunningham claimed that she’s been a Chiefs supporter since coming “out of the womb.”

This is exactly why Cunningham got a bit excited when they started talking about the new restaurant of Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce on the podcast. As it turns out, Cunningham got an invitation to the grand opening of 1587 Prime.

It was Cunningham’s co-host, TV star West Wilson, who brought up the highly anticipated opening of the new steakhouse.

"Patrick and Travis' restaurant opens up in Kansas City in a few weeks," Wilson said.

"I know. I might have gotten an invite," Cunningham teased.

Wilson then revealed that he, too, got an invitation before reminding Cunningham that she couldn’t go.

“I know,” she responded. “Can you?”

Cunningham did not explain why she would not be able to attend, but it’s possible that it’s because of a potential conflict with the Fever’s schedule. Wilson hinted, though, that he might accept the invitation.

"I think it's like three days, you can pick what day you want to go, right?" Cunningham said.

Given Cunningham’s Chiefs fandom, it would probably be safe to say that she would have loved to attend the opening of the restaurant and potentially rub elbows with both Mahomes and Kelce.

However, Cunningham’s commitment to the Fever takes precedence over her love for the Chiefs, which speaks volumes about how locked in the 6-foot-1 guard is to the team’s goals this season.
