The Dallas Cowboys have signed cornerback Michael Ojemudia, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Ojemudia played for the DC Defenders of the United Football League earlier this year.
While with the Defenders, Ojemudia made 11 appearances. He tallied 27 tackles and an interception. Ojemudia has 22 career appearances in the NFL, including 12 starts.
The Denver Broncos selected Ojemudia with the No. 77 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In his debut campaign with the team, Ojemudia started 11 games, recording 62 tackles, six pass breakups and four forced fumbles.
However, ahead of the 2021 season, the Broncos signed free agents Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby. The pair leapt ahead of Ojemudia on the depth chart, ultimately limiting the former Iowa standout’s snaps.
The Broncos placed Michael Ojemudia on injured reserve before the season began and he didn’t make a start until the team’s regular-season finale. The team waived Ojemudia the following year.
