If this were true, Turner would be the GOAT.
Phillies have hilarious jumbotron error after Trea Turner reaches personal milestone originally appeared on The Sporting News
Trea Turner has hit very few home runs in recent months, but he was able to hit an impressive personal milestone on Monday, despite struggling in this area of his game.
Turner was sitting on 1,499 career hits entering Monday night's game against the Mariners.
With just 12 home runs through 122 games played in 2025, Turner hit one over the fence, hitting a personal career total of 1,500 hits.
The Phillies celebrated this accomplishment on the scoreboard, but it wasn't exactly displayed correctly, causing fans to laugh at the error made.
What error on the scoreboard was made?
The Citizens Bank Park jumbotron read "Trea Turner: 1,500 Home Run."
After carefully inspecting the image, you can see there's some text behind, and that reveals that there was likely a split second where it appeared differently, but it reads funny nevertheless.

If Turner really did hit 1,500 career home runs, it would be an incredible record that's truly unbreakable.
Barry Bonds' career total of 762 is incredible in itself, but this hilarious error would mean that Turner nearly doubled Bonds' record career total.
Turner went on to go 4-6 against the Mariners, with a home run, a double and 5 RBIs. 5 RBIs and 4 hits both tie personal season highs for Turner in a game this year.
The Phillies went on to win the game 12-7, improving to 72-53 on the season. They currently hold a +5.5 game lead over the Mets for the lead in the NL East.
The Phillies are back in action Tuesday night against the Mariners for the second game of a three-game series with Seattle.
