A Micah Parsons trade could be imminent.
The Dallas Cowboys and their best defensive player have been in a standstill all offseason. Parsons, a first round NFL Draft pick out of Penn State who's made three All-Pro teams, has not been able to agree to a contract extension with Jerry Jones. Things have gotten so bad for Parsons and the Cowboys that the four-time Pro Bowler has actually demanded a trade out of Dallas.
"I stayed quiet but again after repeated shots at myself and all the narratives I have made a tough decision I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys," he wrote earlier this month. "My trade request has been submitted to Stephen Jones personally."
Jerry Jones, meanwhile, hasn't budged on the trade request - yet. But it sounds like one could be imminent.
Bobby Belt, who covers the Dallas Cowboys for 105.3 The Fan, shared a telling - and disappointing - update from Adam Schefter on Tuesday morning. A divorce appears to be the most likely outcome.
"It sounds like at some point in time - whether that's now, after the season, after two seasons - it sounds like the two sides are headed to a divorce at some time," Schefter said on Tuesday morning.

3 NFL teams make the most sense
If Micah Parsons is going to get traded, three NFL teams make the most sense:
- New England Patriots
- Green Bay Packers
- Baltimore Ravens
The Patriots might be the most likely destination, given their current roster situation. Of course, they would have to be willing to pay Micah.
"You’ve identified your weaknesses through 2 preseason games, and now have the luxury of the highest cap-space by far in the NFL. Fix them. Your window with Drake Maye, Christian Gonzalez, Will Campbell, TreVeyon Henderson and Stefon Diggs is wide open. You have the resources, go get an ‘unhappy’ star!" one fan told the Patriots.
Hey @Patriots go get either:

Micah Parsons or Trey Hendrickson

NFL fans remain skeptical, though
While trade rumors continue to swirl for Parsons, NFL fans remain skeptical that a move could actually happen. They've seen this before with the Dallas Cowboys and contract negotiations.
"As was reported with dak, Ceedee and etc. It’s the same story every time they negotiate with a market setting type contract," one fan wrote.
"All smoke. Does anyone truly believe this," one fan added.
"Where anywhere can you be under contract for a job and refuse to show up because you don’t think you make enough money? All while doing this continue to be paid on the current contract you aren’t adhering to. Only in the NFL…" another fan wondered.
The clock is ticking, though, as the Cowboys are set to face the Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 4 in the season opener.
