Tyrese Maxey, who looks to take full control as the leader of the Philadelphia 76ers this coming season, has been another one of those players. This offseason, however, Maxey has been videotaped working out with none other than living legend, LeBron James. As James is getting set to enter season No. 23 of his historic career, it appears he is fully willing and able to impart some of his basketball wisdom to the game's up and coming young talent, even if they're employed by the opposition.

With the NBA offseason in full swing, multiple players have posted offseason workout videos for the world to see.
Earlier this week, James and Maxey as well as James' Los Angeles Lakers' teammate, Rui Hachimura were seen working out together, with pictures and videos emerging, showing the trio getting shots up in the gym.

Following the workouts, Maxey reportedly spoke with NBA writer, Tomer Azarly, of ClutchPoints, making his opinion of James perfectly clear.
“Yeah, I think the biggest thing is for me is what I can take from him is just his passion for the game. Like, I’m extremely passionate. I love basketball. Anytime I can do anything that pertains to basketball, I want to do it. But this man is going on like Year 23 and he was working out and talking and involved like it was probably Year five for him. You know what I’m saying? And that’s amazing to see. And I think anybody who’s able to watch him, not just work out but play should feel honored because it’s amazing,” Maxey said.
Maxey, 24, is getting set to enter season No. 6 of his NBA career. After winning the Most Improved Player of the Year award in the 2023-24 season, he followed that up by averaging a career-high 26.3 points per game.
He also made a career-high 3.1 3-pointers per game across 37.7 minutes per game. Maxey will likely be relied upon for a high-usage rate this coming season as well, as reports have indicated concern surrounding Joel Embiid and Paul George's knees.
