‘Always been the plan for Jake to fight Tank’: Nakisa Bidarian talks staging Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis

Bidarian says Paul vs Tank won’t necessarily be an exhibition bout.

Nakisa Bidarian looks forward to a massive upcoming event between Jake Paul and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

MVP promoter Nakisa Bidarian quickly caught up with Fight Hub TV to talk about the recently announced fight between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis. Bidarian made it clear that the rules of the event still haven’t been established for those quick to label it an exhibition fight, but that all the details will be sorted out in due course.

Bidarian on what weight the Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis fight will take place at

“Whatever weight they want, man. They’re talking about it and whatever it is, it’s going to be a definitive outcome. People can talk about pro, exhibition — we’re going to make sure this is as real as it’s real as it’s real.”

On why it’s not a professional fight as opposed to being an exhibition

“Nothing’s been communicated yet in terms of what it is, similar to Paul vs Tyson when we announced it we didn’t have the weight, we didn’t have the rules, particularly in the number of rounds, the minutes, the gloves. It’s going to be the same thing.”

On how long this fight has been in the works

“Has always been the plan for Jake to fight Tank once Canelo didn’t happen, and to Tank’s credit he’s a real bad dude and he’s been calling out Jake for three years. And it’s funny how now they’re saying ‘size matters, Jake is big,’ when for so long it’s been ‘Tank will kill Jake Paul.’ And now you get to see if that’s real.
