Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Eberechi Eze on a five-year contract from Crystal Palace in a deal worth in the region of £68m.Â
The England international was heavily linked with Tottenham throughout the summer transfer window before choosing to sign for Mikel Areta's side.
Palace signed Eze, a former Gunners academy player, from Championship side QPR in August 2020 for £17m and will now make a huge profit, with the Athletic reporting a fee close to his £68m expired release clause was agreed upon.
The 27-year-old forward made over 150 appearances in all competitions for the Eagles and scored 40 goals. Eze was one of the standout performers in Palace's FA Cup triumph last season and scored the winning goal in the 1-0 final victory over Manchester City.
He becomes Arsenal's seventh signing of the summer.
