We hit 15 in our Raiders countdown to kickoff. Who wore it best and wearing it now

With the 2025 season 15 days away, we look at who wears the number for the Raiders now and who wore it best.

Yesterday, we reached 15 days until the Raiders season opener at Foxboro against the Patriots, With our countdown at 15 days we take a look at who currently dons the number in Silver & Black and who has brought it the most distinction.

No. 15

Who's wearing it now: WR Marquez Callaway

The newest Raider. Callaway was signed on August 11 to compete at receiver. This is actually Callaway's second stint with the Raiders. After spending his first three seasons with the Saints, he joined the Broncos offseason roster, but was waived at the end of camp and was signed to the Raiders. But he never appeared in a game and was released a month into the season. He has bounced around a bit since then, spending some time with the Saints, Steelers, Buccaneers, and was in the 49ers camp this year.

Who wore it best: QB Jeff Hostetler

Fresh off playing Super Bowl hero for the Giants, he signed a big free agent deal with the Raiders. Hoss took the Raiders to the playoffs in his first season with the team and even won a playoff game. He then made the Pro Bowl in his second season with the Raiders. In four seasons in Silver & Black he never had a losing record, throwing 69 touchdowns to 49 interceptions.

Honorable Mention: QB Tom Flores

The original Raiders quarterback. He spent seven years as the Raiders' signal caller. After his first Pro Bowl season in 1966, he was traded to Buffalo for Daryle Lamonica. The Raiders went on to play in Super Bowl II, led by Lamonica. Meanwhile Flores spent two seasons as Jack Kemp's backup before joining the Chiefs and getting his first Super Bowl ring backing up Len Dawson.

Three years after his retirement, he returned to the Raiders as receivers coach, getting his second ring. Then he took over as head coach in 1979 and a year later got his third ring. Three years after that, he got his fourth ring. In 2021 he was inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a coach.
