Video of the alleged incident between Johnson's father and a man believed to be Johnson's brother surfaced shortly after the Wildcats' 24-21 loss to Iowa State.
Father & brother of Kansas State QB Avery Johnson reportedly get into fight following Wildcats' loss in Dublin originally appeared on The Sporting News
Dublin wasn't kind to No. 17 Kansas State and its star QB, Avery Johnson on Saturday night. The Wildcats fell 24-21 to No. 22 Iowa State in the Aer Lingus Classic.
Despite the loss, Johnson fared pretty well. He completed 21-of-30 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns and tacked on 21 yards and another score on the ground.
Down 17-14 with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, Johnson was unable to convert on fourth-and-one at Kansas State's 30-yard line. The Cyclones took over just outside the Wildcats' red zone. Four plays later, they were in the end zone, pushing their advantage to 24-14. It was too much for Kansas State to overcome.
Johnson wasn't the only member of his family to experience some drama in the Emerald Isle. His father, Mark, and older brother reportedly got into a physical altercation postgame, according to 247Sports' Tim Fitzgerald. Here's what you need to know.
