Just a couple of days after the Hawkeyes came up short against TCU in a top ten showdown, they returned to the UI Soccer Complex and responded with a dominant 2-0 win over MAC favorite Western Michigan on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Josie Jones scored her first career goal with a 26th minute header off a set piece, while senior Shae Doherty added a second in the 73rd minute to seal Iowa’s first shutout of the season.
