According to Mike Klis 9News, the Denver Broncos have waived cornerback Joshua Pickett. The undrafted rookie from Duke signed in 2025, competing for a secondary spot after a solid final college season with the Blue Devils.

Joshua Pickett signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent, where he played in 50 games over five seasons at Duke with 23 starts, recording 101 tackles (66 solo, 35 assisted), five tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and 16 pass deflections. His senior 2024 year was his best, with 38 tackles and four tackles for loss.

This offseason, Pickett appeared in preseason games on defense and special teams and was competing for a roster spot. At 6-0 and 188 pounds, his 4.59 40-yard dash and versatility at corner or safety stood out in drills. He could end up being a guy the Broncos will target for their practice squad. We’ll have to see what happens after he clears waivers later this week.
