Having bounced around the past five years in the NFL, QB Ben DiNucci was most recently cut from another roster this weekend after spending the preseason with the Atlanta Falcons. However, DiNucci has now since landed on his feet with a new job back in college football.
Having posted several times since his release this weekend, DiNucci updated what’s next for himself in a video on social media on Monday evening. It showed him walking into his home in his uniform with the Falcons, opening a package, and putting on a broadcaster’s suit to announce he’ll be on the call for week one for Bucknell vs. Air Force at 3:30 p.m. EST/2:30 p.m. CT on the CBS Sports Network on Saturday.
“Coming to a field near you. This Saturday, 3:30 p.m. eastern time. Myself, Jordan Kent. CBS Sports, Bucknell. Air Force. Be there. Let’s go!” DiNucci said in the clip, with the college football theme for CBS Sports playing in the background.
Again, this comes after Atlanta cut DiNucci on Saturday, with names on the roster in QBs Michael Penix Jr., Kirk Cousins, Easton Stick, and Emory Jones. He then went to social media, tweeting some viral posts about his latest opportunity ending in the National Football League.
“I have been relieved of my duties in Atlanta. They no longer need my services. Stay tuned … Career update coming this week,” DiNucci hinted at first.
“Not many beers better than the airport ‘I just got cut from the NFL for the 7th time’ beer. Trust me , you wouldn’t understand,” posted DiNucci later, with that tweet going viral with millions of impressions and thousands of likes.
