The San Francisco 49ers know what their plans are with Jauan Jennings.
They just don't know if they'll have him for Week 1.
The good news for 'Niners fans: Jennings isn't going to be traded after previously requesting a move earlier in the offseason.
"We’ve moved on from that. I’m not getting into when it was but it was a while ago,” general manager John Lynch told reporters on Wednesday.

The less good news: Jennings' availability for Week 1 is uncertain.
The wide receiver has a calf injury.
“Jauan is still working through his calf issue, making progress,” Lynch said. “Hopeful but not sure for Week 1.”

The 49ers are already depleted at wide receiver.
Brandon Aiyuk is on the physically unable to perform list, meaning he has to miss at least four games.
Demarcus Robinson is suspended for the season's first three games, too.
Ricky Pearsall is looking at WR1 duties, and if Jennings is unavailable, it'll fall greatly on the tight ends and running backs to contribute as receivers, too.
It's not ideal for San Francisco, but at least they know eventually, they'll have Jennings back out on the field in their own uniform and not the colors of another team.
