Former Michigan linebacker Junior Colson will miss his second NFL season with a shoulder injury that requires surgery, according to Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Colson played in 11 games last season, posting 29 tackles and 1 pass breakup.
Michigan freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood checked in as the No. 35 best quarterback in the country heading into the 2025 campaign, according to CBS Sports.
“Recent history suggests that expectations for true freshman quarterbacks should be tempered, regardless of how highly touted they were as prospects,” CBS wrote. “Michigan’s strength remains its defense, so it would be a surprise if the Wolverines ask too much of Underwood out of the gate. But his long-term potential is unlimited.”
ESPN’s ‘Stanford Steve’ discusses Michigan’s outlook for the 2025 campaign.
“If they get average to better than average play from [Bryce Underwood], they’re gonna be fine, they’re gonna go to the playoff,” he said. “Michigan is a team that sticks out to me, just because of the mentality, and they already have that culture.”
