Chelsea vs. Fulham, Premier League: You choose the starting lineup
Amid the dramatic business end of Silly Season we have to take some time out to pay a bit of attention to the silly business of the actual football, with the latest edition of the friendly West London Derby set to take place bright and early this weekend. Saturday lunchtime (12:30 local) is my least favorite kick-off time, but at least we can get the pesky football out of the way and focus fully on the transfer shenanigans before Monday’s deadline.
It’s also a great chance to build on last weekend’s rousing 5-1 win over West Ham, with Estêvão making his first Premier League start and João Pedro continuing to delight in Chelsea Blue. Of course, the former’s opportunity only came about because of Cole Palmer’s injury, and while we have yet to hear a more specific prognosis on his groin concern, he’ll likely miss out on this game either way (and then hopefully does the same with the England squad during the break).
Roméo Lavia could also be back after the international break, but Benoît Badiashile remains out, alongside Levi Colwill and the exiting duo of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.
Choose wisely!
