Recapping a busy week for One Bills Drive
Once the Buffalo Bills were done trimming their roster down to the league-mandated 53-man limit by Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. EDT, general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott turned their attention to filling the team’s practice squad.
The practice squad contains plenty of familiar faces, including 13 players who were initially part of the team’s 90-man roster. It also includes a pair of familiar veterans in safety Jordan Poyer and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who agreed to return to Western New York as part of Buffalo’s practice squad this year.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining the players signed to Buffalo’s practice squad.
Bills add to their practice squad
This is the fourth stint with the Bills for Jordan Phillips, Mr. Big Stuff, a popular member of the defensive line, while Poyer makes his way back to Buffalo following a one-year stint with the Miami Dolphins. Besides Phillips and Poyer, join running back Frank Gore Jr., safety Sam Franklin, and linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo, are among the names on Buffalo’s 16-man practice squad.
