The Serbia men’s national basketball team defeated Portugal, 80-69 on Friday in EuroBasket 2025 group play.
Like their first match against Estonia, the Serbians were in control. The outcome of hte game was never in doubt. However, the Serbians’ offense wasn’t running on all cylinders. For what it’s worth, they only shot 45 percent from the field.
Washington Wizards center Tristan Vukcevic scored 6 points in the game and played nearly 19 minutes for Serbia. Nikola Jokic led the Serbians with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
For Portugal, Diogo Brito led with 22 points.
The Serbians will play Latvia tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET. This will be a competitive game because they are playing the home team then.
