Ring of Honor is finally moving forward with the tournament to crown the inaugural women’s Pure champion. Tony Khan revealed the full bracket, and one of the quarterfinal bouts takes place at the Death Before Dishonor event on Friday night (Aug. 29, 2025).
Feast your eyes on the first-round matchups.
- Taya Valkyrie vs. Queen Aminata
- Deonna Purrazzo vs. Trish Adora
- Billie Starkz vs. Olympia
- Serena Deeb vs. Yuka Sakazaki
Taya versus Aminata will be at Death Before Dishonor. The rest of the bouts don’t have a date yet.
That is an interesting bracket. Based on storylines, the betting payoff would be Aminata versus Deeb in the finals for the ‘student’ to school the professor. There are some interesting wrinkles that could take place. Taya versus Purrazzo in the semifinals would be a clash between Vendetta partners. If Aminata moves past La Wera Loca, then dueling with Purrazzo would be a heck of a test to the final. On the other side, I would guess Starkz and Deeb advance, and that would mean heel versus heel. On top of that, how will Athena react if her minion fails to win the tournament?
