A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona will play no part in the club’s upcoming meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
That’s according to Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel, who points towards Gavi as the player in question.
For those who may have missed it, youngster Gavi set alarm bells sounding in Catalunya’s capital on Friday evening.
This came after word was forthcoming that the 21-year-old had been forced to limp out of training at the Ciutat Esportiva.
It has since been revealed that as much came owing to a knee problem.
And if ensuing word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, as much looks set to prove enough to rule Gavi out of both Barca’s upcoming meeting with Rayo Vallecano, and international duty with Spain.
As per a report from the aforementioned Javier Miguel:
‘Gavi. Out for Vallecas, won’t travel with the national team either. Tests will determine the extent of the injury, but the club does not hide its concern as it involves the right knee, the same one operated on two years ago.’
Gavi. Baja Vallecas, tampoco viajara seleccion. Las pruebas determinaran alcance lesion, pero en el club no esconden su preocupacion al tratarse de la rodilla derecha, la misma que se opero hace dos años.
