Nebraska loses another one-score game to a ranked Michigan team.

Another incredibly disappointing loss, but I think we all saw that Nebraska still has a ways to go to compete with the upper echelon in the Big Ten.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that most of our games are very winnable. The rest of the game out. Looking ahead at the schedule, Penn State and maybe USC should be two teams that are going to be very difficult for us to win.

The rest of the games are pretty winnable.

I know that this is probably going to be a week of hand-wringing and acting like the sky is falling and the bottom has fallen out of this thing and questioning every single aspect of this game.

Nebraska obviously had problems on both sides of the ball with line play. Michigan ran a ton of twists and stunts against our offensive line, and we did not do well at all on picking them up. And for that reason, Dylan Raiola was under pressure the entire game.

I’m sure Dylan is going to get a lot of crap from people, but I think he made some incredible throws, and he played very, very well given the circumstances.

There’s probably going to be a lot said about tackling. And as I stated, you’ll probably go back and if you looked at the game, you’ll find that most of those missed tackles came against Michigan’s running backs. There’s one area in which the Nebraska team needs to improve besides the line play. It’s at running back.

Emmett Johnson is very good, but he doesn’t have the breakaway speed that we saw from Michigan.

If there’s one thing we can be thankful for, it’s that we have Dana Holgerson as an offensive coordinator because he has the experience and will know what to do with his offense in order to get the most out of them despite the fact that our offensive line isn’t very good. You already saw that in this game.

We probably should have been blown out, but we weren’t.

What do you guys think?
