Just hours before the Philadelphia Eagles face the Los Angeles Rams, veteran wide receiver Davante Adams has turned up the heat. On ESPN, Adams didn't hold back in issuing a pointed warning to Eagles' second-year cornerback Quinyon Mitchell.
“I mean, really, it’s not just him,” Adams said. “They got a great defense all across the board. ... I think he shows a lot of promise for the future, but I’m hoping I can show him a few things that he’s never seen, you know, never had to deal with before today. So it’ll be fun.”
The Rams take on the reigning Super Bowl champions. Both squads have yet to taste defeat this season. This will be a high-stakes battle that will keep fans on edge for the full 60 minutes.

In the same interview, when asked if there has been a sense of urgency among the Rams this week, given the step-up in competition, Davante Adams responded,
“Absolutely. I mean, it’s one that in a sense, you got to look at it like the next game. ... So it’s the most important, but obviously with the history that the Rams have against the Eagles here, it’s important that we come out here and I help them try to do everything we can to get this win. You know, it’s a great team we’re going up against, but it’ll be a good test for us.”
Adams has already added fuel to the fire with his comments. Now, all eyes turn to the field.
