The Cleveland Browns have begun having conversations about a quarterback change
Report: Browns making quarterback change very soon originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Cleveland Browns are getting set for their Week 3 matchup with the Green Bay Packers, and are hoping to get their first win of the season. Cleveland had its doors blown off 41-17 in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, which led to rookie Dillon Gabriel getting playing time and throwing his first touchdown pass.
The early struggles of Flacco have led many fans to begin calling for a quarterback change. Per a recent report, they may get their wish. According to Browns reporter Brad Stainbrook, the Browns have had conversations about benching Flacco for Gabriel.
"Earlier this week, Kevin Stefanski and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees spent much of Monday in meetings weighing whether to hand the job to Browns rookie Dillon Gabriel, per league sources," Stainbrook reports.
The Browns' schedule is a daunting one in the first month of the season, and it isn't getting easier next week as the Browns will travel to Detroit to face the Lions. Perhaps after the trip to London to face the Minnesota Vikings could be when we see a change.
