Major League Baseball is winding down rapidly, or at least the regular season is. However, there are still major storylines to follow, and players who are aiming to complete career goals.

For instance, if the Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong hits a home run and Diamondbacks' star outfielder Corbin Carroll steals one base, MLB history will be made.

Five players aiming to be in the 30/30 club

As of Sunday, Jose Ramirez, Jazz Chisholm, and Juan Soto have all recorded 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases.

If PCA hits one home run and Carroll steals one base in the final week, it will be the first time in MLB history that five players in a season have a 30-homer/30 stolen base season.

PCA is having a breakout season, and Carroll is proving to be one of the best outfielders in all of baseball. The Yankees' Jazz Chisholm has had an impressive campaign, and perhaps the most surprising on the list is the Mets' Juan Soto, who was essentially a lock to hit 30 home runs but showed he can also steal bases this season.

Chicago is the top Wild Card in the NL, and PCA is reportedly "getting a breather" and is out of the lineup on Sunday. His potential in hitting a home run this week will be interesting to follow, because it is any day now that the Cubs will lock up the top Wild Card spot, and manager Craig Counsell may elect to get some of his top players off their feet during the last couple of games.

For Carroll, the feat is slightly more feasible, as he's sitting at 29 stolen bases and would just need to get on base to have a chance to steal a bag. He's also likely aware he's just one stolen base away, and that would prompt him to be more aggressive on the basepaths.
