Prior to that, Wisconsin had swept No. 21 Georgia Tech, Milwaukee, Chicago State, and UC Davis after a 1-1 start to the season.
Now, they face a Florida team that has started the season 5-3. They kicked off the year with a 3-1 loss to then-No. 6 Stanford and a 3-2 win over then-No. 3 Pitt in the AVCA First Serve. Since then, they’ve beaten Norfolk State, USF, Ohio State, and No. 20 Baylor, while losing to No. 25 North Carolina via sweep.
However, they most recently lost via sweep to Marquette in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Wisconsin kicks off Big Ten play against Rutgers and Iowa next week, but they’ll need to get past another big test on Sunday, which could boost them up the rankings even more next week.
