The Hoosiers jump by 8 spots in this week’s college football top 25 poll.
Indiana football rose to No. 11 in this week’s edition of the AP Poll following its commanding 63-10 win over Illinois on Saturday, a jump of eight spots from its previous ranking at No. 19.
The Hoosiers just miss out on the top-10, being one spot behind Texas. It’s Indiana’s highest ranking since it finished at No. 10 in the final edition of 2024’s AP poll. Illinois fell to No. 23 in the poll following the loss.
Currently ranked opponents on Indiana’s schedule include No. 3 Penn State and No. 6 Oregon. Indiana will travel to for both matchups.
One way or another, it’s a substantial jump from Indiana to go from No. 20 in Week 1’s poll all the way to No. 11 by Week 5. There’s ranked competition left on the schedule and an opportunity at one of the toughest venues in the Big Ten looming next weekend.
Indiana is set to take on Iowa at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday in Iowa City, opening as a road favorite.
