The life of an NFL receiver isn't exactly a smooth one, and for New York Giants star Malik Nabers, he is finding that out the hard way at MetLife Stadium.

With the Giants hosting the Kansas City Chiefs, Nabers came into the Week 3 clash in supreme form after his 167-yard, two-touchdown game against the Dallas Cowboys last week.

So, it would make sense that, given how he dominated the Dallas secondary, Russell Wilson and Co. would feed No. 1, right? Well, not exactly.

With just two minutes left in the first half, Nabers might as well have been in his tracksuit, drinking a cup of coffee, because Malik had zero receptions and was targeted just once by Wilson.

Then, as the Giants were driving late in the half, Wilson did target Nabers in the end zone...and it was intercepted. Wilson only looking Nabers' way a couple of times is certainly something that head coach Brian Daboll would want to fix.

Malik Nabers' fantasy projection

Having had at least five receptions and 70 yards in his two games this season, we aren't exactly sure why the Giants haven't tried to get Nabers the ball, even on a jet sweep, just something to get No. 1 going, and fantasy owners would be pulling their hair out.

Given his superb game against the Cowboys, according to Yahoo, Nabers was projected to deliver 14.57 fantasy points, and given that he has no catches in the first half, that looks a tall order now.

With the Giants leaning heavily on the run game with Cameron Skattebo, Wilson had only seven completions in the first half, with three to Skattebo, and two to Darius Slayton and Tyron Tracy Jr., yet Nabers didn't have one.

We aren't sure of the game plan, or maybe Steve Spagnuolo and his defense have done a great job of taking him away, but just one target in a half of football after he posted over 150 receiving yards last week defies logic.

But then again, it is the Giants.

And considering that many of those playing fantasy football would have had him in their team after his exploits through two weeks, we imagine they won't be too happy either.
