The New York Giants aren't ready to turn the whole offense over to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart yet.
But they've taken on one college offensive tendency to try to make it work out for everyone involved.
Occasionally, the Giants will remove Russell Wilson from the game for Dart.
Dart then lines up in the shotgun, and in the early going of the season, every time Dart has come in, the Giants have run the football.
He's a promising runner with the ball, yes, but he can also throw it. It could just be to set up a play-action pass at some point.

The Giants are trying to take advantage of Dart's skillset while letting him see NFL action.
Dart threw very well in the preseason and likely deserves a full starting chance at some point.
For now, though, he has a specialty package. The Giants seem comfortable letting Dart come into the game and run read-option plays.

They can likely vary those more greatly by mixing in some pass plays, with potential play-action working well.
Dart certainly seems to be coming for Wilson's job. The only question at this point is when, not if.
