The Kansas City Chiefs have their first win of the 2025 season, downing a poor New York Giants team 22-9 at MetLife Stadium with Andy Reid's team now finally having their teeth into the season.

Granted, nothing that transpired on Sunday night will do anything to ease the fears over the Chiefs' offense led by Patrick Mahomes, as at times, it was completely disjointed, especially in the first half, which was just a brutal watch.

But in the second half, things appeared to roll a little smoother as Tyquan Thornton became "the" guy in the fourth quarter, making two big catches, which included a 34-yard touchdown grab.

And yeah, Reid was pleased just to get that first win.

“A good win to get, in particular when you haven’t had one,” Reid said. “That was important, to take a step forward. The second quarter was hard to watch, but the third and fourth quarter, I thought our guys really came together and played well.”

Chiefs face playoff-defining Week 4 Ravens clash

Yes, the Chiefs managed to beat the Giants, and next week, we will get a true test of whether or not the current AFC champs are back or not.

The Baltimore Ravens will roll into Arrowhead, and if they lay a beatdown on Mahomes and the Chiefs, then the line of people stating the dynasty is over will be long.

One thing is for sure: if the Chiefs' offense plays like it did in the first half against the Ravens, then things could get ugly. The positive was the defense, which rendered Malik Nabers a non-factor and made Russell Wilson look like a quarterback that Jaxson Dart will replace in the coming weeks.

It was important for the Chiefs to get that first win, and they got it, but biggest tests lay ahead.
